About ECOFED

The ECOFED project, which stands for European Cloud Services in an Open Federated Ecosystem, aims to create a more flexible and competitive cloud market in Europe. Unlike current systems, where companies often face high costs and technical difficulties when switching cloud providers—especially with large U.S. providers—ECOFED seeks to establish an open and interoperable cloud environment. This would allow businesses to easily switch between or combine different cloud services. By fostering competition and innovation through new technologies and EU legislation, this initiative could significantly transform the cloud landscape.
